Hi @Kay_09,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Pavilion Laptop 14-ec0xxx is showing a "Camera not found" error (0xA00F4244<NoCamerasAreAttached>) or a black screen when trying to use the camera, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

**1. Check Physical Camera

Check for Camera Blocker:

  • Some laptops have a physical switch or slider to cover the camera. Make sure this is not activated.

Check for Camera Lens Obstruction:

  • Ensure that the camera lens is not obstructed by any objects or dirt.

**2. Check Camera Settings

Open Camera App:

  • Open the Camera app on Windows to see if the camera is detected. Go to Start Menu and type Camera, then open the app.

Check Privacy Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera.
  • Ensure that Allow apps to access your camera is turned on.
  • Make sure that the Camera app (and any other apps you want to use with the camera) are allowed to access the camera.

**3. Update or Reinstall Camera Drivers

Update Camera Drivers:

  • Right-click the Start Menu and select Device Manager.
  • Expand the Imaging Devices section and find your camera device.
  • Right-click the camera device and select Update driver.
  • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

Reinstall Camera Drivers:

  • In Device Manager, right-click the camera device and select Uninstall device.
  • Restart your computer. Windows should automatically reinstall the camera driver.

**4. Check Device Manager

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
