HP Recommended

I have the HP 15DW2048NR which comes with USB C slot, so me thinking that like all new electronics these days I should be good to go with charging via USB C when I lost my power adaptor charger recently. I have tried numerous types of USB C cords and none seem to work, so I thought I should ask the experts if this is even possible or have I been wasting my time? There is alot of misinformation out here on the matter. thanks
