I followed the prompts to update HP Support Assistant but as a consequence it left me with two versions running - even though the update process said it was removing older versions! I followed the instructions to remove HPSA that I found elsewhere in the forum: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Software-and-How-To-Questions/HP-Support-Assistant-Removal/m-...

However, an icon for HPSA still appears in my Toolbar - although if I click it nothing happens. How do I ensure that HPSA is fully removed from my laptop? Is it as simple as deleting the following file and folders: C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\HP Support Framework\Resources\HPSFMessenger9_3\HPSFTaskbar.dll

Nb as per the instructions linked to above, HPSA is no longer in the list of Apps and Features (so can't uninstall it again) and is no longer in the list of apps in the Start menu.

Thanks.
