Hi folks,

 

So, I purchase this HP Paviillion 15-eh0000 laptop (August 2022) that comes a free 1-year personal subscription to Office 365. I have a current Office 365 subscription which was due to lapse November 17,2022. Initially I did not activate Office on the laptop.

 

So shortly before my existing subscription lapses (around November 10) I activate office on the laptop. I expect the free subscription to be picked up. Instead, it picks up only my existing subscription, from my Microsoft account. My subscription ends a few days later and now I see no way to access the free 1-year subscription I was supposed to receive with the laptop.

 

Office is installed and has reverted to the free tier with the only option to upgrade to pay for a new subscription. How can I access the free subscription that comes with the laptop in this case?

 

Thanks in advance for any advice on this.
