Cannot read emails

When I get emails on my Apple products, no problem.  When I get emails on my HP laptop, some of the same emails are in gibberish - machine language or something.  Other emails are fine.  Where/how do I fix this?

That is barbecue your Apple products and your Windows products use different encoding character. Please use the following steps on your HP machine

1. Open the system Settings window. To do this, select the Settings button in the notification area of the Taskbar.
2. Select Time & Language.
3. Select Language.
4. Under Related settings, select Administrative language settings.
5. In the Language for non-Unicode programs area, select Change system locale.
6. Clear the Beta: Use Unicode for UTF-8 worldwide language support check box.
7. Restart the computer.

Hello, I did everything that you suggest and it still giving me the gibberish. I have a HP All-In-One 22-df0xxx desktop, Windows 11. When I try to read my Yahoo emails, they are all mumbled up. But they are perfectly fine when I open them up on my phone. Can you help please, thanks for any additional help in advance.

That link is about Yahoo mail specifically.  My issue is AOL mail.  Is there a solution for that?

 "Beta: Use Unicode for UTF-8 worldwide language support" checkbox wasn't checked.  Additional info - this happens when trying to read AOL email.  Some are fine, others gibberish.
