I bough an anti virus i wanted to use on my new laptop but couldnt download it as my windows was in S mode. I believe its not out of S mode.  

It still wont dowload though, in fact nothing will as i'm getting the message that the virus scan has failed on all downloads.

I thought maybe i need to remove the McAfee that was already installed on the laptop then retry.. i was able to uninstall one part of it but when it is not letting me uninstall Mcafee live safe?  

So now i'm stuck with a partially unprotected computer ,and cant download anything.  I am a novice with this stuff, please can someone help

Rule of thumb is to NEVER have more than one sucurity suites running on the same machine simultaneously.
