Charging 230V AC or 300V HVDC from power bank

Unknown

Hi,

I have an HP 15-bw055sa laptop and an Omnicharge Omni 20 power bank. The power bank has options to charge from 230V AC with 'modified sine wave' or 300V HVDC which requires 'switched mode power supply'. Would either of these charging options be unsafe / unwise for the HP 15-bw055sa?

Many thanks,
John

@JohnLMcCallum

The following link shows specs of your machine

   https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05791622

It has 45W Smart AC adapter and you can use  65W adapter part # 710412-001. Anything other than that is not compatible with your machine. It won't work (your machine won't accept) or would damage your machine.

In general, for chargers, IN won't be the problem but you need the right OUT voltage with communication pin.

Regards.
