HP 250 G4 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have installed  the “recommended/best” driver for Windows 10 64-bit for my audio chip, version 6.0.1.7944 (sp77787), as recommended by hp for my laptop 250 G4 .

When I open the Realtek HD Audio Manager (DTS Audio Control) – shown in the image below - to make some changes, I noticed that when I was closing the app, by pressing the “x” in the upper right corner, the app is NOT closing, but instead it is minimizing in the system tray!

The only way to close it, is to kill the process in the task manager.

There is no option anywhere in the app, to change that behavior. None I could see at least.

Has anybody else noticed that behavior? And if yes, is there a solution (e.g. a registry entry) to close the app, instead of having it minimized in the system tray and closing it by killing the task?
