E-mails I've read and deleted still there and unread every time I go back into my email account

This has been happening since I got the laptop a few months back.

I access my emails on Chrome and every time I read or delete them, if I later click back into Gmail via my bookmarks the emails will still be there and unread. They will have marked as read and disappeared if I just click the inbox tab while still in Gmail but as soon as I leave Gmail and come back they're all there until I do it 3-4 times.

This doesn't happen on my PC, same browser same settings etc.

Any ideas please?

These "Bumbp" messages will not bump your case forward unfortunately. In fact, it resets your timer extending the amount of time experts and agents have to respond to your inquiry. Please allow the community some time to answer your question.

Hi, how long do experts have to reply? It's been quite some time now and is still an issue despite reinstalling Windows entirely.

I highly doubt this is a Windows-based issue.

Are you asking about a Gmail account, or another email server that you have added to Gmail to monitor?  Are you using POP or IMAP?

Check and compare the settings for "Forwarding and POP/IMAP on both computers in Gmail.  See if the one that works has a different setting about "Deleting emails".
