Problem Description:

Hello, I’m a web developer, and I need to use my HP Laptop 14s-dq2535TU for 12 hours straight every day. To maintain battery health, I want to stop charging at 80% while keeping the laptop plugged in for longer usage. Unfortunately, I can't find HP Adaptive Battery or HP Battery Management on my device.

I’ve already checked:

  1. BIOS (version F.36) and there are no updates available.
  2. Control Panel, but there's no option to limit the battery charge threshold in the battery settings.

Is there a way to stop the battery from charging past 80% while it’s plugged in? Any suggestions or solutions would be appreciated!

HP consumer class notebooks such as yours do not come with that feature.

Only some HP business class notebooks have that feature.

See the link below for how to get the most life out of your notebook's battery.
