Hi @LupusInFabula

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

As I understand, HP OMEN Control button does not function.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

When was the last time it was working fine?

Were there any hardware/software changes made?

Let's try these steps:

Uninstall HP Omen panel software:

  • Right click on Start icon (bottom left corner)
  • Select Programs and Feature
  • Uninstall HP Omen panel software

Once completed, reinstall the software from the link: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp70501-71000/sp70894.exe.

If the issue persist, let's continue with the steps given below:

Uninstall and reinstall Keyboard drivers:

1. Press Windows +X to open the menu, and choose Device Manager on it.

2. In device manager, expand category “Keyboard”.

3. Under this category, right click on your Keyboard driver and click on Uninstall.

4. You may be required to confirm the uninstallation. Check the box next to “Delete the driver software for this device” and click OK button.

5. Restart your PC for the change to take effect. After restarting. Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.

6. Do not perform any manual upgrades to the driver until it does automatically

Update BIOS following steps mentioned in the link.

Hello! Thank you for fast respond.

I did those steps as you mentioned, but at first it didn't work. Then, I instaled some updates and software, including BIOS as you said, HP OMEN Command Center and HP System Event Utility, and it finaly worked! It's all fine now, the Laptop is fully working.

Thank you. 🙂
