Hi,

I have been trying to update my HP Support Assistant.  I am stuck on version 7.4.45.4 file version 7.2.6294.2157.  Everytime I try to update to the newest version using the updater it will download, shutdown HP Support Assistant, but will not install the updates. I get a big red X when installing and a message that it failed.  I tried using the .exe files from the website and that doesn't work either.  I did try uninstalling using the uninstall a program first also but it will not work even with that.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try using Revo Uninstaller - Free Portable version >> https://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html

to clean uninstall HP Support Assistant (HPSA)

 

After successful removal, restart your computer

 

After restart, download Wise Registry Cleaner - Free Portable version >> https://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/wise-registry-cleaner-portable

Extract it, run it, perform Full Scan and clean

 

Close the app and use a browser to download HP Support Assistant - latest version -> download from this URL - orange/red button >>> https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html

 

I hope it installs successfully this time
