Dear all,

Since upgrading to Windows 11 25H2, HP Wolf Security threat (protection) containment can no longer be initialized. Uninstalling and reinstalling did not resolve the issue. Initialization always remains at 0%.

What can I do additionally, please.

Thanks in advance for your hints.

Kind regards

Jo

Dear Garp,

I am experiencing the exact same issue as Jo_Peters and other users in this thread.

The HP Wolf Security Threat Containment feature fails to initialize and remains stuck at 0%. I have tried multiple uninstalls and reinstalls of the software without success.

Key Details Confirmed:

HP Model: HP EliteBook 840 G8 Notebook PC (or replace with your specific model).

Operating System: Windows 11, Version 25H2.

Problem Start: The issue began immediately after the automatic upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 approximately one month ago.

Hardware Status: My BIOS/UEFI is fully updated to the latest version available for my unit, and there are no pending driver updates in HP Support Assistant.

Could you please provide the exact version and Release number of the HP Wolf Security client that is confirmed to be compatible and includes the fix for initialization failures on Windows 11 25H2?

Please advise on the next steps. I can provide my unit's Serial Number via Private Message for specific assistance.

Thank you for your help.

Kind regards,

Julio
