Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP auto product detect doesn't recognize my HP omen Laptop, if you were to ask why would I need auto detection and what for? The reason is I want to update it's BIOS but do not know the product model or number of this laptop, this laptop was given to me by my uncle but with very many problems and one of it's problem is that the laptop randomly locks when playing a game... It doesn't have the sticker where the product model/number is, but in HP support assistant it is recognized as aaadad.png

even if I were to search the serial number/ product number it is said it is not a valid serial number/product number

The laptop is a HP omen 15.6 2016 (I think, because they look the same and the same specs but different second GPU)
Specs:
System Model: OMEN by HP Laptop
BIOS: F.26 (type: UEFI)
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.6GHz
Display 1:
Intel(R) HD Graphics 530
Display 2:

Radeon RX 560 Series

If anyone could help me it would be much appreciated!

@qlsaturn

Why are you trying to FORCE a BIOS update? That is a really BAD idea!  If there was an update available, HP Support Assistant would be offering it to you.

Hi, @qlsaturn

Enter the serial number of your notebook in the search box at the link below, and it should provide you with the notebook model number and product number.

Hi:

Go into the BIOS's system information window and post the product number and model number you see there.

It should be listed in the BIOS, as the system board has to be tattooed with that information.

It is the same with what is given in HP assistant, I did a bit of research and found out that this laptop given to me was a limited edition and it can only be purchase in China, that's probably why the serial/product number cant be search through HP auto product detect. Probably the only thing I can do now is to contact HP about this, I hope they can give me some advices...
