Product: HP 15-r052nr Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR)Example: Pavilion 6530
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP 15-r052nr Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR) stopped working and indicated RECOVERY was needed.  The virtual assistant was very helpful and instructed me through a Quick and then Advanced Recovery.  After those functions concluded, the HP 15-r052nr Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR) was working again.  HOWEVER, Microsoft Office was deleted in the process and I am unable to access my Excel and Word files. 

 

Microsoft indicates I need to buy Microsoft Office - but it came installed on the HP Notebook, why should I pay for the software.   

Microsoft suggested HP could help me recover/replace since HP provided the software installed at time of purchase.  

 

How do I reinstall, reactivate Microsoft Office?

MS should quit providing advice about what OTHER companies will do because they do not know the facts.

 

Unfortunately, the recovery information does not include purchased add-ons like MS Office, so even if you created or ordered HP recovery media, that would be no different.

 

The version of Office that comes preloaded on HP PCs is a trial version, and since that expires, it does NOT activate. But, If you believe that you purchased Office included with your HP PC, then you will have to contact HP Customer Support directly because we here can not assist you in that activation.
