@Nassau1941, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP LaserJet MFP M234dw is not printing from your PC despite being on the same network, here are some steps to help you troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check Printer Status

  • Ensure the printer is powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your PC.
  • On the printer control panel, print a Wireless Network Test Report to confirm network connection:
    • Go to Settings > Network Setup > Wireless Settings > Print Reports.

Use HP Smart App (Recommended)

  • Download and install the HP Smart app for Windows.
  • Open the app and click “Diagnose & Fix” to automatically detect and resolve common issues.

Reinstall Printer Drivers

  • Uninstall any existing HP printer software from your PC.
  • Download the latest drivers from the official HP support page: Official HP® Support

Set Printer as Default

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click your printer and select “Set as default printer.”

Check Print Queue

  • In Devices and Printers, double-click your printer.
  • Cancel any stuck print jobs and try printing again.

Firewall or VPN Conflicts

  • Disable any active VPN or firewall temporarily to see if it’s blocking communication.

Try Wi-Fi Direct (Optional)

  • If network issues persist, try printing via Wi-Fi Direct:
    • On the printer, enable Wi-Fi Direct from Settings > Wi-Fi Direct.
    • Connect your PC to the printer’s Wi-Fi Direct network and print.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
