Hi:

 

Run the Microsoft Hide Windows Update utility that I zipped up and attached below.

 

You run the utility.  It will find the HP USB driver update.

 

Check the box to hide the update.

 

After the utility reports the problem is fixed, after you restart the PC, the update should not appear again.

 

You can refer to this discussion where I provided the same method to solve the problem...
