The actual task depends on the printer model (and the printer's specifications), your Operating System / version, the types of apps or software you have available, the size and type of the envelope.
In general, many printers can print a standard envelope, even using the basic tools.
Mobile apps might have a harder time with the setup and print execution -- the apps / tools are not necessarily available or easy to use. It is generally possible if the printer supports the paper size and type.
(Windows) WordPad can be used -- the setup can be a bit of a chore, but it does work.
Similarly, HP Smart (Windows) works for at least a standard size envelope -- setup is less tedious than using WordPad.
Using HP Smart does require that you have created an "envelope document" and exported that document to PDF.
(Windows) Word > Mailings > Envelopes provides a more straight forward setup and print execution.
