Hi Kuroi,

Could you clarify which of your last two messages I should follow? I'm feeling quite confused. On 11-04-2025 at 2:50 PM, you suggested opening a Private Chat. When I went online to do so, I came across a new message from you dated 11-05-2025 at 7:49 AM, suggesting I reach out to phone support.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I'll share both messages below, since the second one seems to have disappeared from the thread.

Hi Kuroi,

After multitudinous failed attempts, I have just given up (again) trying to post a direct reply to your private message of the 3rd of November. This is the pop-up message that I have constantly been receiving every time that I hit the "Reply" button:

JohnTCI1_0-1762882407502.png

. . . despite not having put any HTML in the original.

Unfortunately, this just confirms that the HP page has some serious errors/problems that require resolution and which I had previously reported in two separate messages dated the 3rd of November. To those issues, I can now add that spellcheck is also a disaster . . . it is identifying the typed language variously as Malagasy and Portuguese (neither of which I have ever used) and there doesn't appear to be any option to change it.

This is the text of the message that I was trying to post today: QUOTE

Hi Kuroi,

I have been trying to reply directly to your  Private Message of the 3rd of November within the Private Messages folder.

Because the reply to Private Messages was not working, I had originally replied to it within the original thread on the 3rd of November, after receiving it by e-mail. In it I had referred to my previous reply of the 26th of October.

Thanks Kuroi,

Re updating the BIOS:

  • The 17” already had its latest BIOS Version, AMI F.32, 06/05/2025,
  • I updated the BIOS in the 15.6” from Version AMI F.35 to AMI F.36, 22/04/25.

Unfortunately, neither has Battery Health Manager nor Smart Charging.

Most disappointed that both HP and Microsoft don’t have either option.

Even more surprising is to discover that no one has developed (or better said, I can’t find) a 3rd Party App or a Workaround to limit the charging.

I had seen the 3rd party Apps you mentioned (and others) but just sounding an alarm is no good for me, as I am quite deaf and not always close to the laptop to see a pop-up.

Anyway, your response to my request was most appreciated.

Hi Kuroi,

I had already tried these suggestions, see my reply of the 26th following your first answer on the 26th.

You then confused my posting with someone else's problem and then, on the 29th, repeated your suggestions of the 26th, to which I had already replied.

Unfortunately, as I said, I was most disappointed that neither HP (Support Assistant and the latest BIOS) nor Microsoft have Battery Health Manager nor a Smart Charging option.

BTW: Although I am doubting whether a solution exists, I am awaiting (or better said, I haven't seen) a reply to my message of the 5th of November, also in the original thread, requesting to know which of your previous 2 messages of the 4th and the 5th I should follow.
