Hp Envy 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After finally getting the latest Windows 10 update yesterday I checked the update position on laptop and found a new update from HP waithing to be downloaded.  Thsi :  HP Accelerometer Hewlet Packard so I clicked th update button and down it came.  The problem is that whenever I restart the laptop I get a box telling me. vey smufly, this app does not work on Windows 10 and may cause damsge.  How can I get rid of the update?  I can't find anywhere that it can be deleted from as it does not appear in the downloaded apps list in Windows update and neither does it show in the Cntrol Panel.  Any suggestions please|?

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums.

I understand that you have an HP Envy 15 series laptop and read that post installing an HP update for the HP Accelerometer, there is an issue. When the laptop restarts and a message appears saying this app does not work on Win10 and may cause damage. So you would like to remove this update. I'llbe glad to help you with this case.

Please open the control panel and check at both places: uninstall a program and check for installed updates.

Right click on the HP accelerometer and select uninstall.

If the issue persists then please perform a Microsoft System Restore to rollback the laptop to an earlier date when everything worked fine. Please refer to the steps mentioned under "Restore your computer when Windows starts normally".

I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Let me know how it goes. Good luck! 🙂
