Hi All,
after deleting one of my old devices (laptop) from HP Support Assistant and adding it once again to HP Support Assistant, the laptop icon (the picture of the device) is no longer visible. The laptop is "HP Pavilion dv6331ea" and before deleting it from the HP Support Assistant, the icon was available. At the same time I also deleted my old printer, which is as old as the laptop, from the HP Support Assistant and when I added it once again, the printer icon (picture) is again available (just like before) - the printer is HP Photosmart C4180.
I know that both devices are no longer supported, but since I lost the icon of the notebook only and not of the printer, I don't think it's connected with the age of the device.
The version of HP Support Assistant is 8.7.50.3 and there are no updates available at the moment.
Could you advise how I can get the notebook icon back in the HP Support Assistant?
Thank you.

@Cypisek I suggest you reinstall the HP Support Assistant to resolve the issue as it should have auto-refreshed the icon for the laptop as it did for your old printer since it hasn't done that, the reinstallation of the HP Support assistant should do the trick and here's how to do it:
In Windows, search for an open Uninstall a program.
On the Programs and Features window, select HP Support Assistant, then click Uninstall.
Figure: Uninstall HP Support Assistant
Click Yes on the Programs and Features screen to confirm you want to uninstall HP Support Assistant.
Figure: Uninstall confirmation
Restart your computer to complete the process.
Once uninstallation completes, please click here to download and install the latest version to resolve the issue, by simply re-adding your devices back to the HP Support Assistant.
Let me know how that pans out,

@Riddle_Decipher, I think, there is misunderstanding.
My question was how to restore a notebook (HP Pavilion dv6331ea) icon in HP Support Assistant and had nothing to do with a printer. The printer was only an example of a device as old as the notebook, but where there are no problems with the icon.
I would like to be able to see the actuall picture (icon) of the notebook in HP Support Assistant as before and as I can see of other devices like my old printer and my new notebook. Please see the attached picture with print screen.
Do you think, you can help?
Best regards,
Cypisek

@Riddle_Decipher
Thanks for this. I have tried out your advice.
The current version of HP Support Assistant is: 8.7.50.3
Unfortunately it hasn't worked and the situation is the same as before.
I have icons of my current laptop, and old printer, but no icon of the old laptop.
Could you suggest another solution?
Thank you.

@Cypisek We may need to run a system file checker to identify and remove any corruption of file causing this issue, here's how to fix it:
- In the search box on the taskbar, enter Command Prompt. Press and hold (or right-click) Command Prompt (Desktop app) from the search results and select Run as administrator.
- Enter DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth (note the space before each "/"). (Note: This step may take a few minutes to start and up to 30 minutes to run and complete.)
- Enter sfc /scannow (note the space between "sfc" and "/").
Once done, reinstall the HP Support assistant and it should resolve the issue,
I hope this help!

@Riddle_Decipher
As you suggested, I ran a system file checker (the first step, on the print screen below):
After this I,ve done the next step (sfc /scannow), below:
Afetr I reinstalled Hp Support Assistant unfortunately without any change.
I also uninstalled Hp Siupport Assistant and installed the new one from hp website:
https://support.hp.com/pl-pl/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-17-ae100-laptop-pc/16851067/model/21296772?...
Unfortunately also without success 😞
Could you try to help me once again, please? 🙂

@Cypisek The only other thing we can do apart from a reset is to check with a new administrator account, if that doesn't work, please create a backup of all your personal data and then, use the steps from this link to reset windows: Click here.
