I'm having this "unknown" error when I run the battery check from Hp support assistant.
I've tried to shut down the PC and reinsert the adapter as recommended, update the BIOS and run a battery test from HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows (the result in the image) but nothing has changed.
How can I solve?

Are you having problems with the battery or only from the HP Suport Assistant?

I think the problem is only with HP Support Assistant but I'm not sure.
I ran the battery check yesterday, after I realized that with the power adapter connected the battery wasn't charging.
Then I disconnected and reconnected it and the charging is started again.
Today the battery was charged normally.

In that case, I would tend to ignore the HP Support Assistant.
HP Support Assistant is usually pretty reliable, but it is not know to be perfection.

I've encountered the problem again.
I've installed HP Support Assistant again but now it doesn't open.
I've tried to uninstall it from control panel but this message appears:
What can I do?

Did this happen after the latest Windows 10 update?
How about installing the latest version of the HP Support Assistant from the followng web document. I provided the URL for the Italian web document containing the download link.

No, I didn't update anything.
I already tried to install the latest version of the software from the link you provided me in a previous post but the problem is still there.
When I try to open the software after installation, it shows the HP support assistant logo for a while and then disappears.
This happened after I discovered another problem with the battery charging: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Battery-at-93-quot-plugged-in-...
