I got this Laptop on Christmas of 2020, and it was supposed to be a Laptop that could last many years and I could take with me when I go to college. Pretty much from the start I had issues.

The issue that I've had since the beginning is for whatever reason Google Chrome will not open and it crashes every single time. I've been with Microsoft support 3 times and it still crashes. HP support is impossible to get to a human and I don't wanna pay money to do that. I've done everything to try to get Chrome to work (since I don't like MS Edge) and it refuses to open and work.

Recently I've had more issues, and this one particular issue happened right after I was with Microsoft support about a month ago. Almost every single time I open my laptop the screen either goes blank or it flickers as soon as I move my mouse and I have to restart my laptop, and doing this multiple times a day is very tiring and gets old. And when it does restart, I always get this message saying "The operating system did not shut down cleanly".

Also lately the battery will sometimes randomly get really warm after I take it off the charger in the morning and when I get to school it's already down to around 75%, and which if there's a day where I'm on my laptop a lot it could die and I won't be able to complete school work.

And also throughout the time I've had this laptop the speed has never really felt as fast as it should. It has a 10th gen core i7 @ 1.30GHz, and which it should feel butter smooth but there is always a bunch of random lag spikes and it never feels smooth opening apps and having things load. For comparison by brother has a 6 year old laptop that has an i7 and we compared the speed and his laptop felt smoother and faster compared to mine. Which should not be the case since my laptop has a much faster and more optimized version of the i7.

And the occasional time I'll play a game on it, there's been a few times where it completely freezes my laptop and it takes like 5 minutes to be able to restart it.

I don't really know what to do, I've been with support 3 times and nothing is fixed and it's getting worse. I feel like I've tried pretty much everything.

Edit: I just did a hard reset on my laptop, and Chrome still crashes. I also downloaded Firefox to see if that would even work, and that won't open either. Not sure what this means but something is wrong
