Hi @Job888 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP Victus laptop is experiencing a hardware issue. The blinking Caps Lock LED usually indicates a problem with the hardware, often related to memory or motherboard issues. Here's a general guide to troubleshoot:z
Check the Diagnostic Codes:
- 3 Blinks, Slow: This usually indicates a memory issue. Try reseating the RAM sticks (if you're comfortable doing so) or running a memory diagnostic test.
- 2 Blinks, Fast: This can indicate a motherboard issue.
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Disconnect the AC adapter and any external devices.
- Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to discharge any residual power.
- Reconnect the AC adapter and try to power on the laptop.
Reseat the RAM:
- Power off the laptop and remove the battery (if applicable).
- Open the back panel and carefully remove and reseat the RAM sticks.
- Reassemble the laptop and try turning it on again.
Check for Faulty Components:
- If reseating the RAM doesn’t work, the issue might be with the motherboard or other internal components.
Run HP Diagnostics:
- If you can boot into BIOS or HP Support Assistant, try running the built-in hardware diagnostics to check for errors.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
