Could HP people comment what this is?

There are many wondering if it’s a virus.

I’m new on Windows and HP (Apple user)

and not used to such situations?

Incoming screen message: “

Warning HP Display Control needs to be updated. Please update using link below”

This is a known problem but HP does not yet have an update that fixes it.

 

Just use the link to download the software and then run it.  You will not be getting the message anymore after that.
