I just ordered this laptop and when I went to plug the usb of my mouse in it wont fit, but yet it fits all other hp products. IT seems my usb ports are tilted but its brand new..does this mean I need to buy a special mouse for it to fit? Also Im having the same issue for my headphone jack

The model number you posted is not an HP model number and I am sure you do not have Windows XP. Look, USB is USB...all USB ports on all computers are the same physically so just please give us the correct model or product number and we can figure out where you can plug your mouse in. The headphone jack may be another matter.

I am not sure if the product id is the same as what you are asking for but I think this may be it

00325-80000-00000-AAOEM This is the number it gives me when I go to settings

That ain't it either. Do you have the HP Support Assistant App installed on the laptop? If so open it and it will have a Product ID. Don't post the serial number, though.

Now we are getting somewhere. 15-cw0003cy is the model and it has an AMD Ryzen processor so is a pretty new laptop for sure.

Here is the Service Manual:

Right and left views are on pages 5 and 6 and on the right side as you sit and look at the screen are two standard USB ports that should accept any USB mouse ever made. Please post a picture if you still are having problems and post a picture of your audio jack as some modern laptops will not accept all types of jacks.

As you can see the ports look kinda tilted they do not line up with area to insert a usb

They look fine to me. I need to see the male endof the headphone jack you are trying to plug in. Are there 2, 3 or 4 rings on it?

HP Recommended

2 rings.
