We have no way of knowing what Currys initiated that would take so long; so we have no way of telling you how long it should take.

IF this is as new PC, there is no reason why the seller would have to "reset" it; thus, I suspect it's a used or returned PC, and if you paid full price for it, your're entitled to a new one.

If it were mine, I would take it BACK and demand a refund -- as you are entitled to a working PC when you buy one.

Good Luck

It was a x display and they were taking a bemo of and it was reduced by 50 pound from 379, to 329. I will wait till tomorrow to see if it's finished if not I will take it back

OK -- so that explains why they did the "reset".

If they instituted a routine that actually "wipes" the drive, it could take several hours -- and then some time to install and configure the OS.

IF this runs overnight and is STILL not working tomorrow, then I would return it.

Otherwise, if it works, then you end up with a working PC at a bargain price.

Be sure to come back here if you need more help.

Good Luck
