Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have been working on HP laptop with a 128 G Lexor flash drive as back up. I had it in the USB port and could see the drive when suddenly the drive dissappeared and I could ot get HP laptop to detect it again.  I also tried it on my DELL Ultrabook laptop, same issue.  Error message flash drive not recognized.

I want to try and retrieve some of my flash drive files.

Can anyone recommend a software program to download to use to try and recover files from a corrupted flash drive?  For my HP Pavillion or for a DELL Ultrabook (my alternate laptop).?

@LLD61

The situation that two different PCs can no longer access the flash drive indicates a hardware failure in the drive.

There are online outfits that will SELL you USB stick data recovery apps -- but all of those I have tried simply do not work.

IF you go this route, then try a product that gives you a free trial -- they usually limit the number of files or size of files you can recover -- but if the trial works, the paid version will also work.

Good Luck

Thanks for your reply. I did look at some flash drive recovery apps on line and will try one with a free trial. I am not optimistic though.
