Hi i was wondering if someone could point me to where i could acquire windows 10 drivers for the 17 HP Pavilion 17-e037cl 17.3" Laptop Computer, AMD A8-5550M, 6GB Memory, 750GB Hard Drive model# E9G77UA? Thanks.

Anytime.

 

If you want, you can install the latest drivers for the chipset, audio, ethernet & SD card reader from the hardware manufacturer's websites.

 

Chipset:  Install the W10 64 bit drivers from the link below and restart the PC.

 

970 Drivers & Support | AMD

 

Audio:  Accept the agreement.  Download and install the Windows 64 bit driver from the link below and restart the PC.

 

PC Audio Codecs > High Definition Audio Codecs Software - REALTEK

 

Ethernet:  Download, unzip and run the setup application from the W10 driver from the link below.

 

Realtek PCI GBE Ethernet Family Controller Software - REALTEK

 

SD card reader:  Download, unzip and run the setup application from the 1st driver from the link below...

 

Card Reader Solutions > Card Reader Controllers Software - REALTEK

 

I don't know if your notebook is supported for the HP coolsense software.

 

You can try it and see...

 

You have to first install Net Framework 3.5 and to do that, you go to the Windows control panel>programs>turn windows features on or off.  A window will open with a list of software.

 

The first one to show up should be net framework 3.5.  Check the box to install the software.

 

Then restart the PC, download and install the HP coolsense app from the link below.

Hi. Thank you for the reply. Is it though? These drivers work in windows 10? Looks like the dates are mostly from 2015 no?

You're very welcome.

 

W10 came out in June of 2015, and there aren't any newer W10 drivers for your notebook than what you see listed there--especially the graphics.

 

If you want a more recent wifi driver than what is on the support page, this would be the latest one released for the RTL8188EE wifi adapter.

W10 may have already installed newer drivers for some of the components but not the graphics.

I do not believe that one will work.

 

You have to install the driver for the processor and graphics adapter, and the newest one would be the beta driver (3/1/2016).

 

A8-5550M with Radeon™ HD 8550G Drivers & Support | AMD

 

The WHQL driver is probably what is installed now.
