Hi, 

 

I just bought my HP laptop yesterday. I realised that this laptop couldnt connect to any 5GHz wifi, although my other devices could connect to it. May someone help me out.

 

Network adpters - Realtek RTL8822BE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter (Ver. 2024.0.3.101)

Wireless Mode - 802.11a/b/g

802.11d - Enabled

Hi:

 

See if updating the wifi driver to this version resolves the problem...

Fix and enhancements:
- Fixes an issue where the systems stops responding and displays error messages on a blue screen.
- Fixes an issue where the system searches for only 1 access point (AP) after the mobile hotspot is enabled.
- Provides support for Windows 10 v1803.
- Enables the 5 Ghz band 4 for Singapore systems.

After installing the updated network adapter driver, my HP laptop managed to connect to the 5GHz wifi. Thank you so much for your help, appreciate it. 🙂
