Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

I read your post about problems with your new HP PC and wanted to help.

You should not be having problems with a PC this new.

While this PC is still under warranty, you should contact HP Customer Support directly to have them put you in touch with HP Technical Support to see what they can do about diagnosing and repairing your machine remotely.

I did this recently and the HP Tech was able to remotely access my PC from the Internet and do the needed repairs.

If you live in the US or Canada, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

NOTE: After you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to some one -- it can take a while!

If you have trouble finding a phone number, then try: 1 (800) 474-6836

Good Luck

New Notebook

Hello WaWood,

Thanks for your reply.

I'm in the UK, I followed the ww contact url you gave and only two options for the UK in the results:

1. Chat, Mon to Fri 8.30am to 6pm (but grayed out because it's saturday).

2. This dicussion board as a quicker option, where one of the 24/7 HP Technicians would respond.

I will be at work Mon to Fri until I get home at around 5pm, so I could try between Mon to Fri 5pm to 6pm on the chat thing.

If I have no luck with that, the only option left is to send the notebook back for a refund & buy a different brand of notebook where they do have telephone support in the UK and are available at least until 8pm mon to fri and saturday mornings. I'm sure some do here in the UK. Maybe some do have 24/7 support here in the UK. I will have look into that before buying another computer of any kind in the future.

Many thanks again.

There are no HP Technicians that support this forum; instead, this is a self-help community forum staffed by volunteers.

HP maintains no official presence on this forum.

So, no one here has the ability of HP Tech Support to remote into your PC, or in any other way, run diagnostics on it.

Sorry, but HP determines the support options they are willing to provide.
