Replaced OEM hard-drive with a Western-digital WD1600BEVT, when trying to reinstall Windows 7 I  receive "No drives found during windows installation" message any solutions would be much appreciated.

Hi:

 

See if this works...

 

Where you get that message, there should be a load driver option.

 

So, see if the drivers that I zipped up and attached below get the drive to show up.

 

Unzip them to their folder and copy just the file contents of the folder to a USB flash drive.

 

Plug the flash drive into your PC's USB 2 port.

 

When you click on the load driver box, browse to the USB flash drive with the drivers on it and if you check the box, it will only include the compatible storage controller driver.  Click next, and hopefully, W7 will install.

 

If that doesn't work, it is possible your new hard drive is no good.
