Hi @Aigle099,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like your HP ENVY Notebook - 17 (specifically model 17-k102nf) is encountering two distinct issues.

Driver and Software Availability:
HP may no longer actively support your laptop model for the latest operating systems, which is why you cannot find drivers on the official HP website. However, there are ways to resolve this:

Try Windows Update:

  • Open SettingsUpdate & SecurityWindows Update.
  • Click Check for Updates.
  • Windows often provides necessary drivers automatically.

Manual Search for Drivers:

  • Identify the hardware components (e.g., graphics card, network adapter) and download drivers directly from the component manufacturer’s website (e.g., NVIDIA, Intel, Realtek).
  • Use tools like HP Support Assistant to detect and install missing drivers.

Driver Download Sites (Caution Required):
If HP's website doesn't help, use trusted driver download websites like DriverPack Solution or Snappy Driver Installer. Be cautious about downloading from unverified sources to avoid malware.

Battery Not Recognized After Replacement:
The replacement battery not being recognized could stem from compatibility issues or a need to reset the laptop's battery management system.

Basic Steps:

  • Ensure the new battery is compatible with your specific laptop model.
  • Shut down the laptop, disconnect the battery and charger, press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to discharge residual power, then reconnect everything.

Battery Driver Reinstallation:

  • Open Device Manager → Expand Batteries → Right-click on Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery → Click Uninstall Device.
  • Restart the computer. Windows will automatically reinstall the driver.

BIOS Update:
If the battery isn't recognized due to outdated firmware, updating the BIOS may help.

  • Visit the HP support page for BIOS updates specific to your laptop model.
  • Carefully follow HP’s instructions to avoid complications during the update.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
