Hi.
Laptop that I use is one that I've received to use for my education.
Recently the battery icon keeps telling me that the battery is not charging although it is plugged in. I have checked the charger and everything is fine with it. I've checked around Microsoft forums and found no answer that has helped. Uninstalling drivers etc. I have yet to try removing and reconnecting the battery from the laptop but since I know software better than hardware, the tech personal at my school will have to do it for me.
Since I won't see them until Thursday next week, I wondered if it would be worth asking on the forum for HP laptops.
Is there any way to fix this without having to remove and re-insert the battery?
It does not seem to fall below 90% and I have read somewhere on Microsoft that some laptops are set to only charge up 'til a certain point, let the battery fall to point B and then back up to whatever the max is set to be at. I'm not sure if the battery drivers have just bugged out or if there is anything icky with the hardware, which I doubt there is.
