Envy x360 13 Convertible ay-0050AU
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi.

I bought a new Envy x360 13, and tried to use a pen, Renaisser Raphael 520, it supports 4096 levels of pressure and tilt, that I already using on my Surface Pro 3. But it behaves like something wrong with pressure sensitivity...it connected well with Envy, pointer appeared and following nicely, but when I tab screen with pen, it does not recognize click until I press it against the screen with a little bit of strength. Likewise, when I tried to draw lines or write characters, it does not work until I press the pen tip with enough strength. So I cannot draw very thin line and characters at all.

With another pen I have, Surface pen, it just works as it is. Immediately reacts when I tab screen with pen, drawing line and characters. Also, Raphael 520 is working nicely with my Surface Pro 3, there's no problem like with Envy x360.

To sum it up,

3rd party pen(Raphael 520) with Surface Pro 3 : No problem

Surface pen with Surface : No problem(of course)

Surface pen with Envy x360 : No problem

3rd party pen with Envy : Problem!

Does anyone knows about what's wrong with this and how to fix?

Maybe I can just use Surface pen with my Envy, but it makes me annoying and I like Raphael 520 so want to using it with Envy.

Best Regards.

Hi @Praveen196 , thank you for reply.

I've tried to update as you said, but it's up to date already, both of Windows Updates and HP Support Assistant.

And still the problem exists.

If you have any further idea, please let me know.

Thank you.

Hi @Rivian!

Did you ever get the pen working as intended? I'm having the exact same problem right now. There seems to be others who don't have the problem though...

Edit: And did you buy the laptop in Japan?
