I have been having problems with my new HP and it's tablet mode. It would not automatically turn on tablet mode after rotating and the keyboard with the touchpad won't lock automatically.

 

While searching for answers, I noticed that HP responded only to how to fix the rotation, never how to fix this particular problem so I tried to find the solution myself.

It is very easy.

 

Here are the steps: Control Panel*> Device Manager> System Devices> Intel (R) Integrated Sensor Solutions**> Properties> Driver> Update Driver

 

* If it's not in the Settings, to find Control Panel, right-click to the Windows icon or search though Cortana.

 

** In some PCs, you might not find it. There are two solutions (the 2nd is more recommended) :

  • The driver might be named differently, you just need to find the equivalent to it.
  • Normally the driver might not be installed or might not be functioning. You can find the driver online very easily to download : Click to access the link. Once downloaded, you install the and restart your PC.
    If it still does not work, you reopen the downloaded file, but when it will ask you if you wish to overwrite this file you will press "No to All " so it will only repair the driver. These step might be the first one if the drive was only not functioning correctly but was already installed.

 

 

Normally, the tablet mode should start working automatically and everything will lock automatically, but if there are any further questions or suggestions, feel free use the comments.
