Why do HP depend on 'community members' to provide support instead of actual support staff? Very strange.

I have a HP Pavilion x2 2 in 1 laptop. I formatted the device recently, and now it's missing proprietary HP drivers by the looks of things, because I can't scroll with two fingers on the trackpad, and I'm only getting audio out of one speaker. Can a HP representative forward me to a direct link to download these drivers, as I have had no luck with the website, it cannot even auto-detect the device. Additionally, I cannot install the newest video drivers for the Z8350 processor, as apparently they need to be 'signed' by HP. Can a HP representative send me a link to the latest video drivers that exist, and if they're not current, submit a ticket for someone on the software team to create signed drivers for the latest Z8350 video drivers.

@L3n0v0,

Thank you for posting your query on HP Support Community,

What is the product number of your HP notebook? Use this link to find it:  https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03754824  (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).

Have you installed a retail copy of Windows or OEM version of Windows?

Have you tried to update the drivers either using Windows update or using HP Support Assistant.

Let's try these steps here:

I would suggest you run the Windows update troubleshooter.

Download and install the troubleshooter from this link.

Now try to perform Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates.
2) Check for updates.
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

I suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...

HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook

  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

Click Updates in the My notebook pane

  2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

Updates list in HP Support Center

  3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Also ensure Windows is up to date.

Select the Start  button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available

Could you please respond to this post with the details and with the results of the troubleshooting for further assistance!

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution and Kudos buttons, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Have a great day!
