Personally, I advise AGAINST doing factory resets -- except in very special cases like malware infection. Why? Because when folks perform them due to their PC not working correctly, there is always some other underlying problem (usually hardware) and a reset only makes matters worse by resetting your OS back to where is was years ago and then forcing you to go through days of Windows Updates to get it back working.
