SENDING TEXT MESSAGES USING SIM CARD AIRTIME

Hey Guys, so someone help me out here.

I live in Eastern Africa and I have a second hand HP ELITEBOOK 8570W. Recently I noticed one of its feaures includes an in built SIM CARD SLOT and coupled with a 56K Modem and also the PCI Ericsson Modem.

I have been searching for a means to send Text Messages while using airtime only but the Windows 10 Messaging icon is unresponsive. I receive SMS's, read them but I cannot reply. The send button simply doesnt hilghlight the sending capability.

Someone explain if perharps my region is what restricts me, or if its some driver am missing, or if actually I am dillusional just thinking I can send text messages using Airtime???

Hi,

Please contact your provider to see how many messages you can send for free or how much each. Many providers charge few cents each message sent.

Hello Banhein. Thanks for the quick response. The problem am facing is that I cant send any messages. I am completely disabled from sending text messages. It's not a question of the service providers cause the SIM card works perfectly on my phone but does not seem to send any messages from the laptop. I can only receive them and view them. I cannot respond. Thanks.
