I have just bought a new laptop (HP Pavilion 15-ab271sa) and when I initially started 'Set Up' the scrolling worked (Using two fingers to scroll up and down) but once I was done, I couldn't and still can't get the scroll function to work!
I tried going into the advanced mouse settings to check the synaptics functions (like many people online suggested) but it opens and then says its stopped working and that I have to close it. I can't do anything with it!
It's driving me crazy. Could someone please help me?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,
Try the following.
First, download the Synaptics driver on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71984.exe
Turn off your wireless card ( should be f12 ).
Open windows control panel, open Programs and Features, right click the current Synaptics driver and select Uninstall.
When complete, restart the notebook.
When windows has reloaded, open your Downloads folder and run the Synaptics installer - when this has completed, restart the notebook again.
Open the Synaptics settings panel, enable the scrolling settings you require and then check if this works Ok.
If it does, turn your wireless card back on and use the utility on the following link to prevent Windows 10 from automatically updating the Synaptics driver.
