Omen 17T
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Speech Recognition not working on Windows 10 tried it with 1809 version then 1903 on Omen 17T using Realtek internal microphone. Problem: Set up for Speech Recognition works I was able to do the "Peter sentence" test, but after that speech recognition does not respond to my voice. Even if I press the microphone button on the speech recognition bar. Note: Cortana works. I was able to record a message with my voice. Troubleshooting tried: Trying Windows versions 1809 and 1903. Updated Realtek microphone driver and audio driver, ran it in Administrator mode, tried turning off Cortana. Checked and made sure that microphone was enabled and set to default. Next plugged in a external microphone changing appropriate settings and speech recognition would still not work. I tried all of the things mentioned in these articles found online. Help: Please provide instructions to fix for 1903 version. This feature would be great to help ameliorate repetitive motion injury to wrist and thumb.
