I want to upgrade my notebook, which currently has 256GB on an SSD, and I need more storage. I would like to know if my HP 15s-fp5xx notebook supports a new 1TB SSD or only 512GB as the manual states? I ask this because I happened to upgrade the RAM memory, the manual stated a total of 16GB, but the notebook supported up to 32GB of RAM.

You can replace it existing 256GB with a new 1TB or 2TB even 4TB new same type SSD. Memory and Storage are not the same. You can use the following way to find out the amount of RAM it supports
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.
This will open the command prompt.
2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter.
From here, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.
Regards.

Thank you for your answer!
I would like to change the 1 TB Kingston SSD, so is there no problem? The computer came with Windows Home 11, I want to install it on the new SSD, but I don't have the product key. What is your recommendation?
