Stuttering and jerking video play during video editing on Adobe Premiere Pro

Hi! @Brianey

Welcome to the HP forums!   Good Day!   It is a great way to engage, post questions and find resolutions by working with specialists in the HP community.

I understand that while playing video on Adobe Premiere Pro shutter and jerk on your laptop.

I have checked the system requirements for Adobe Premiere Pro.

Multicore processor with 64-bit support
Microsoft Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 (64 bit) or Windows 8 (64 bit), or Windows 10 (64 bit).
8GB of RAM (16GB recommended)
8GB of available hard-disk space for installation; additional free space required during installation (cannot install on removable flash storage devices)
1280x800 display
Sound card compatible with ASIO protocol or Microsoft Windows Driver Model
Optional: Adobe-recommended GPU card for GPU-accelerated performance
Internet connection and registration are necessary for required software activation, validation of subscriptions, and access to online services.*

It says 16GB memory is recommended to run this software, So it could be an issue where the hardware is not matching the software requirements.

However, you can try updating the BIOS and graphics driver on your laptop and check if it helps.

Please provide the product number of your laptop. I will try to find best drivers for your laptop.

Let me know if this helps!

Have a beautiful weekend ahead! 🙂

Stuttering and jerking video play during video editing on Adobe Premiere Pro

@Brianey

Thank you for the update.

Here I would recommend you to update  Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver (Windows 10 v1607) on your Notebook: Click here

If it doesn't, please try with the different video editing application.

Let me know how it goes, cheers 🙂

Stuttering and jerking video play during video editing on Adobe Premiere Pro

@Sizzlingsum_13

Thank you for your reply.

I just noticed that when editing videos shot by my YI 4k action camera, it doesn't have the jerking and stuttering but when those done by my Samsung S6 Edge phone.

I believe its not the computer but the video files done by the phone.

Any solutions or suggestions?

Many Thanks mate 🙂

Regards,

Brianey

Stuttering and jerking video play during video editing on Adobe Premiere Pro

@Brianey, thanks for the reply.

Thanks for trying out the steps.

As you mentioned that you have done editing from YI 4K action camera but you have no issues.

So it should be an issue with your phone please try changing the settings on your phone and check if that helps.

Try enabling the video stabilizing option in camera settings on your phone and check if that helps.

If the issue persists I would suggest you contact Samsung support and get assistance.

Happy Holidays! 🙂
