HP Pavilion x360 14 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 14-ek1000 (742H9AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,
I got a stylus with my laptopn. However, when I write with it, there is a sound as soon as the stylus touches the screen. This sound get captured in my videos. Hence, I wanted to know a few things:
1. Will this stylus damage the screen since I plan to use it for writing on screen often?
2. If a screenguard is used, will it reduce the ease of writing on screen?
3. Please suggest a suitable screenguard that will not reduce the ease of writing on screen.
4. Please suggest if the tip of the stylus can be changed to any soft tip- without impacting the performance.

Please also let me know if you have any more tips.
Regards

Stylus Usage Concerns for HP Pavilion x360

Will the stylus damage the screen?
HP styluses are typically designed to be safe for use with touch screens and should not damage the screen of your laptop. If the stylus is used correctly, it should not cause any harm. However, ensure that the stylus tip is in good condition and free from debris to avoid scratches. Regular cleaning of the screen and stylus tip can help maintain their good condition.

Will a screen guard reduce ease of writing?
A screen guard might alter the tactile experience slightly depending on its thickness and material. Many screen protectors are designed to be compatible with styluses, but it’s essential to choose one that is specifically suited for touch and stylus interaction to maintain smooth writing and responsiveness.

Recommended screen protector:
HP does not specify particular screen guards for stylus use, but consider options such as tempered glass screen protectors or those labeled as "matte finish" or "anti-glare," which often provide a smoother writing experience.

For optimal results, selecting a high-quality screen protector designed for touch screens and stylus use would be ideal. Make sure it has a smooth surface that facilitates stylus movement without hindrance.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
