Sudden Spike in temperatures while playing games

It has been around 5 months since I have purchased my Notebook and I have some overheating issues. While some casual gaming, I was monitoring the temperatures and found that the temperature suddenly jumps to 94 degree celcius for a few seconds and then comes back down to 75-80 degrees. I wanted to know if this kind of stuff is safe for my laptop or the sudden spike can cause any issues?

Processor - AMD Ryzen 5 3500U

RAM-8 GB (2 GB VRAM)

Graphics Card- AMD Radeon VEGA 8 Graphics (inbuilt)

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:  

• Shut down the computer, and then inspect and clean the exterior vents to remove dust buildup by blowing air through the vent openings. Dust can accumulate inside the vent openings and around internal cooling components, preventing the removal of heat.

• After you remove the dust, turn on the computer. If the error message persists, continue with these steps.
• Perform a hard reset. Performing a hard reset can reset recorded thermal values in memory and enable you to use the computer again, even if only for a short time to access and save any important files before service.

• In some cases, updating the BIOS might help prevent this error from occurring. For more information on how to update the BIOS, see Updating the BIOS.

Thank you for your reply. I wanted to clear something up which i should have done earlier. I am not getting any warning messages from windows or my laptop is not shutting down. I am monitoring the temperatures using a third party software HWMonitor and in that software I am seeing the temperature spike. I wanted to use the laptop in the long run and so just wanted to know if it's safe because of the sudden spikes or will it harm my laptop. Also note that sudden spikes in temerature occur only in the first minute or so of playing the game. After that it maintains a stable temperature between 70-80 degrees.

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. I would suggest performing system factory reset will put the computer back to the original factory settings in this way all corrupted and outdated software will be removed. 

While doing the recovery there is an option to back up your personal files. If you have not previously done one now is a good time.
