HP Spectre x360 13t
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought a Gigabyte 1070 Gaming Box eGPU for my HP Spectre and it was working fine at first.

HP Support Assistant suggested that I update my BIOS. It updated my BIOS to F.24 and all of a sudden my eGPU wouldn't work anymore and the Thunderbolt 3 Software wouldn't show up on the system tray at startup. And when I open the Thunderbolt 3 Software manually, it wouldn't detect my 2 tb3 ports. So I thought of checking device manager and see if I can see the problem from there and I realized Thunderbolt 3 is no longer listed in device manager.  I've tried updating my tb3 controller drivers and firmwares but no luck. I also tried doing a BIOS Rollback but it would only say something like

Current BIOS: F.24

BIOS after Rollback: F.24

Right now I'm resetting my device to factory settings. If things don't work out I will try downgrading to an older BIOS Firmware although I've never tried doing so. I'll also post screenshots of my issue after the reset attempt fails.

I was hoping someone here could help me. Thank you all in advance.

@Cuyu,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Is the Thunderbolt port working when other devices are connected to it?

Meanwhile, I recommend you update the graphics driver and the chipset driver from the below link and check if it helps.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
