Hi all,

 

I have seen many people have the same issue with HP but I cannot find the driver for my machine.

 

My machine is HP ProBook 6465b runing Windows 10 64 bit

 

In my Device Manger I have an unknow device and when go into properties I find the following:

 

Genral - Port_#0002.Hub_#0005 & The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

 

Details - USB\VID_138A&PID_003C&REV_0086 & USB\VID_138A&PID_003C

You need this driver for that device, and you may have to manually install it.

 

Validity Fingerprint Sensor Driver

 

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp58501-59000/sp58900.exe

 

Run the driver.  If it doesn't install the device, do this...

 

Go to the device manager.  Click on the USB\VID_138A&PID_003C device needing the driver.

 

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update driver.

 

Select the 'Browse my computer for drivers' option and browse to the location of the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.

 

That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp58900.

 

Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.
