HP ProBook 450 G4 Notebook PC
  • I'm trying to install an operating system in my laptop through a bootable usb made by rufus. Unable to see any drives listed. I've tried many storage drivers including rapid storage driver from the official notebook 450 G4 page but none has helped me to to get the drives.

It is a 7th generation i5 laptop. Any leads which storage driver can I install to get the drives listings in the windows setup?

Hi,

Are you reinstalling Windows or are you performing a new ckean install on the PC?

Have you checked that the Drive in the PC? and that it is functioning properly?

Try performing diagnostics at boot.

Turn off the PC by holding the power button

Turn on the PC and repeatedly keep hitting the ESC key until startup menu appears

Press F2 to enter diagnostics

Perform the system test or at least the Hard Drive test

Hi. Thanks for your help. Out of no where, My laptop was saying no operating system found.

I'm trying to install a new operating system which is giving me hard times by not listing the drives in the windows setup.

How can I check the driver without any operating system in it?

I'll try the diagnostic method.

Hi,

Yes, most likely it is a problem with the hard drive which will need to be replaced. Then you can reinstall Windows. You see no drives most likely because the drive is no longer functioning.

You can try the diagnostics method I described above.

Try testing the hard drive. If the drive has failed you will get a hardware failure code, or the test will not perform.

If you replace the Hard Drive you should replace with a 2.5" SATA3 SSD or you can also replace with an M2 SATA3 SSD.

This will boost the performance of the PC a lot in everyday usage.
