Hello:
I have an Omen HP Laptop 15-dc0xxx with WIndows 10 Home edition.
I am considering upgrading to Windows 10 PRO to get Bitlocker encryption, however I am not sure if the hardware would be suitable for that kind of upgrade.
Would it woid the warranty? Can I encrypt this laptop without performance issues?

Hi:
In order to support Bitlocker, your notebook has to have a TPM device.
Is there a security devices category in the device manager which lists the TPM device?
If so, the PC should support Bitlocker. W10 Pro should work just fine on your PC.
Warranty...the software warranty would be voided if you upgrade to W10 Pro.
HP is only going to support the original OS that came with the notebook.
You can upgrade to W10 pro by reading the info at the link below toward the bottom of the page.

You cannot clean install W10 Pro. You will always get W10 Home because that is what product key is in the BIOS.
