I have just bought a new notebook HP Laptop 17-by4004nl in a big italian store, however in the package there is no User Manual. So I went to HP support site to download it, but I can only get a user manual for HP Laptop 17-by4000 which is actually showing different keyboard layout and different I/O devices. My first need was to search for a key to disable touchpad since with my old laptop this was helping me to avoid unwanted pointer jumps while editing a document. In my laptop the key as indicated in the manual of by4000 is not present and I cannot find it anywhere. Can someone help out with this issue. The questions are:

a) where can I download the user manual for by4004nl?

b) where can I find the touchpad temporary disabling key on by4004nl?

thank you!

No, HP does not supply manuals for EACH machine, HP supplies manuals for EACH series/family. In your case, you can use manual for 17-by4xxx machines:
